Historic
SIP (Perception Intelligent Systems) team is located in mathematics and Informatic department of university René Descartes, paris 5 in France.
The team was created in January 1998 and has been attached to CRIP5 in 1998.The main statement of the research laboratory CRIP5-SIP expresses our goals of excellence in research in the areas of image processing, computer vision and pattern recognition. The mission of CRIP5-SIP is to contribute in the field of "intelligent" algorithms in vision, stressing basic research, technology development and PhD education.
Sip team has also contributed in a research master creation: Mathématiques et Informatique in unviersity René Descartes. The members teach in image processing and computer vision fields.
Research activities
Sip researchs are focused on "Image Analysis and Interpretation" and seek to advance the state of knowledge in such domains as:
- Bio-image applications
- Image analysis for cartography ( aerian and satellite images )
- Image analysis ( segmentation, indexation, 3-D reconstruction,mouvement tracking, document analysis, ... )
Our objectives is to develop new algorithms based on pattern recognition and image analysis to offer functional and original solutions to different applications
Our challenge therefore is to continue providing excellent research and opportunities for working and learning in the area of image processing and computer vision.
