• (2012/05/03) My paper entitled Gabor Noise by Example co-authored with A. Lagae, S. Lefebvre, and G. Drettakis has been accepted to SIGGRAPH 2012. See the project page for more details.
• (2011/09/23) The online demo Micro-Texture Synthesis by Phase Randomization is now officially published in IPOL: Image Processing On Line (joint work with Y. Gousseau and J.-M. Morel).
• (2011/09/01) I am now maître de conférence (assistant professor) in mathematics at Université Paris Descartes within the MAP5 research lab.

Research:

I work on image models and texture synthesis algorithms involving germ-grain random fields (shot noise, colored dead leaves, transparent dead leaves...).

I defended my Ph.D. thesis entitled Stochastic Image Models and Texture Synthesis in December 9, 2010. My Ph.D. was supervised by Jean-Michel Morel (CMLA, ENS Cachan) and Yann Gousseau (TSI, Télécom ParisTech). The manuscript can be downloaded here.

My research interests include:

• Texture synthesis algorithms
• Texture models for natural and medical images
• Geometic measure theory and its applications in stochastic geometry
• Functions of bounded variation
• Random field simulation
