Objectives: 

My basic research work aimed at bridging the gap between low-level image analysis issues and high-level semantic filtering operators. 

It relies on the frameworks of computer geometry, mathematical morphology and more recently digital topology. 

More or less it comes down to perform image analysis tasks by using graph-based representations which constitutes a new trend in image analysis in general and in digital histopathology as a specific application. 

An interesting perspective should be the application of a new theory called discrete calculus to expand the analysis of visual patterns embedded in simplicial complexes mathematical structures. 

More generally I am goal-oriented and I am interested in any kind of project involving pattern recognition and analysis over visual data either as still images or video sequences like in the field of augmented reality. 

3D or 4D imagery is also a perspective of research related to the new capabilities of the medical scanners for instance.

Currently, I am working with biologists and histopathologists to design data processing line for automatic tissue analysis at both preclinical and clinical level.
