• Development of improved p-values for BLAST using importance sampling techniques and/or alternative null models. • Statistical search for functional patterns in proteins using structural sequences. Collaboration with Leslie Regad, Juliette Martin and Anne-Claude Camproux from the MTi (INSERM 726, University Paris-Diderot, Paris, France).

• Flying small "general aviation" aircrafts and aerobatics (Private Pilot Licence since 2007)
• Flight sims (mostly IL2 Sturmovik)
