- Development of improved p-values for BLAST using importance sampling techniques
and/or alternative null models. Collaboration with Alexander Hartmann and Stefan Wolfsheimer Computational Theoretical Physics (Institut für Physik, University of Oldenburg, Germany),

- Statistical search for functional patterns in proteins using structural sequences. Collaboration
